Comic Strip Links
Daily Comic Strip examples
Go and look at a variety of examples from this page. What do you notice is similar between them? What does the background consist of? (lots of details or a solid color? maybe somewhere in between?) What do you notice about expressions? Are any of the characters ever duplicated exactly from one frame to another? What is the difference between speech bubbles and thought bubbles?
Garfield has a good selection of 3 panel comics.

Photoshop Help
You can search how to use certain tools in the help section of the Adobe website. The link is: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/index.html
You can enter something in the search bar but make sure to check off "this reference only"
For example you could search for: retouching
The results will direct you to information about retouching in Photoshop, what tools to use, and what the different options mean.
Here are some links for you.
